The Centre for Climate Change Economics, Policy and Innovation (CCCEPI), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Dr. Jabir Haruna Abdulkareem received hisBachelor of Agriculture (B. Agric 2008) from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, MSc. Soil Science (Soil Physics, 2015) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria and PhD (Environmental Hydrology and Hydrogeology, 2018) from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is currently Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Soil Science, Institute for Agricultural Research Samaru, Faculty of AgricultureAhmadu Bello University, Zaria with expertise in environmental climate change, agro and hydro meteorology,soil physics,environmental and systems modelling, hydrology and fate of contaminants in soil, physical and hydraulic properties of soil.

Dr. Jabir teaches SOSC 203 Principles of Soil & Water Conservation (2013 to date), SOSC 202 Agricultural Climatology (2019 to date), SOSC 802 Soil and Water Management (2021 to date), SOSC 850 Agricultural Climatology (2021 to date), SOSC 853 Soil-Water-Plant Relations (2021 to date), SOSC 854 Management of Irrigated Lands (2021 to date), MSCCC 811 Agricultural Projects in Changing Climate (2021 to date)in the Department of Soil Science and Center for Climate Change, Economics, Policy and Governance, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

He received professional honours, awards and fellowships as follows:Principal Investigator Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Institution Based Research Grant (2021), Junior Fellow Pan-African Scientific Research Council (2021), PhD Research Grant from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia (Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS 2015-1) 2015, Distinction in Student’s Masters Research thesis (2015), Masters study Fellowship under the Urban Food Project of the Organic Agricultural Sciences, University of Kassel, Germany sponsored by Volkswagen Foundation, Germany (2012), Distinction in Student’s Undergraduate Research Project (2008), Zamfara state Government University Scholarship (2004-2008), Chevron National Undergraduate Scholarship Award (2004-2006) and Ocean and Oil National Undergraduate Scholarship Award (2004-2007).

He is a member, International Union of Soil Science (IUSS), Soil Science Society of Nigeria (SSSN), Associate professional member Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM), World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (WASET), International Society for Development and Sustainability, Chartered Institution for Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), World Association for Scientific Research and Technical Innovation (WASRTI), International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) and World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies among others. Dr. Abdulkareem has twenty three(23) publications in peer reviewed journal and fifteen (15) conference proceedings.
