Rafiu Olalekan Yusuf (Ph.D) is Professor of Geography in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He joined the services of Ahmadu Bello University in 2007 and rose through the ranks and was promoted to the rank of professor in 2019. His teaching and consultancy experience encompasses Development Studies, Research Methods, Rural Development, Agricultural Geography, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of Project and Project Monitoring and Evaluation. He has been involved in these activities for about two decades as an academic, researcher, consultant and administrator.
He has published widely and supervised postgraduate students on themes revolving around rural peoples’ adaptation to climate variability and climate change, effects of climatic parameters on human health and welfare, social protection and mitigation measures, water resources utilization, environmental and resource management, among others.
